Fuji Artist, Olumide Awise Reportedly Dead


Fast-rising Fuji musician, Olumide Awise Also Known as Baba Ogbon has passed on after a brief illness.

The Agege-based musician reportedly died in his home in Agbado, Ogun State in the early hours of Wednesday, May 18, 2016.

Awise rose to fame through his Agege Allstar album ‘New Generation’ which had guest appearances by other Fuji acts including Nurudeen Ajani, Segun Opontisun, late Sunny T Adesokan and Oyama Azeez. His Fuji Lori Reggae album which featured renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, was also a crowd pleaser.

He has since been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.
